It's capable of towing up to 3,500 pounds. For diesel Colorado options, you have the 2.8-litre Duramax turbo-diesel with 181 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. You can get up to 7,700 pounds of max towing power with this option. There's also the 3.6-litre DOHC V6 that provides up to 308 horsepower. With its 275 lb-ft of torque, you get a max towing capacity of 7,000 pounds. Depending on the engine selected, you have a max payload capacity of 1,790 pounds.
